Evil Men is a manuscript-in-progress composed of 26 short stories (A– Z), each story titled with the name of an “evil” protagonist. The first three stories in the collection are “Alonzo the Armless,” “Milosk Blondynki,” and “Kallie Coetze.”
I submitted a version of the manuscript as my MFA thesis at the University of Alabama, but the version of Evil Men I intend to publish in the future will only have 10 of the 21 stories that appeared in my thesis.
The project is nearing completion; I imagine the actual writing will be done by Spring 2010. Ideally I would like to have a series of portraits to go along with the book. I am uncertain at this point if I will be commissioning an artist or if I will do them myself.
A promotional outlet (very early in development) for the stories and the characters in “Evil Men” is the website YOU KILL THE VILLAGERS. I will add links to the site as stories from the collection are published, and I may just publish a few there. I will also be adding supplementary information on the characters that inhabit Evil Men.
