the adventures of dickdog is a comic i made semi-regularly for a couple of years, from 2008-2010–i recently put together a compilation of much of this work and put it up at issuu. dickdog had his own website for a while–that i still own–adventuresofdickdog.com–but i was up for this federal job and and i was trying to get a security clearance and my mom freaked out and told me i would never get the job if i had dick drawings on the internet and etc. so i took him down. but i missed him (and i didn’t get the job) so he’s back in compiled form. and maybe, probably, he’ll be back again with new material someday soon–you cannot silence the dickdog.
now, i could probably lay out an elaborate rationalization / critical exposition of the utility of dickdog, particularly his visits to abu ghraib prison. that, however, would be totally lame and against his spirit. simply put, dickdog is a dog who is a dick, and that’s really enough.
i will say that i first drew dickdog sometime while i was a student at NYU, but he did not appear in a comic till several years later. one of the earliest incarnations of dickdog–new york, 2001ish.
