Erik Wennermark is a writer of fiction, creative nonfiction, and journalism. He has a BA in Individualized Study (with a focus in Drawing/Painting and 20th Century European Literature) from New York University and an MFA in Creative Writing (Fiction) from the University of Alabama.
Erik has worked as a librarian in Baltimore, a gallerist in New York City and Venice, Italy, a painter in Denver, and a teacher in Alabama, Chicago, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, writing all the while. One of his most cherished accomplishments is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania; other memorable trips include Peru, Syria, Cambodia, India, and the Balkans.
Erik enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and exploring new cities. He is a certified yoga instructor and practicing meditator. Erik works as an Associate Professor of English at American National College in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
